DIGITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT (DAM) LIBRARIAN

This position will oversee all aspects of managing our global digital asset management system.  This includes migrating a collection of more than 40,000 assets, consisting of photography and other collateral to an updated system and performing subsequent maintenance on the collection. 

The DAM Librarian will manage the delivery of services related to the DAM system, and support DAM users in uploading assets to the DAM, searching and retrieving existing assets on the DAM, and delivering reports on DAM usage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the life-cycle of all digital assets for the Zippo brands.
  • Develop a unified metadata strategy and architecture, establish best practices for the creation and management of metadata that are rigorous and scalable, allowing users to quickly search and discover marketing assets.
  • Create workflows for ingestion, storage, and delivery of assets to DAM system users, all the while looking for efficiencies in these processes.
  • Responsible for the development, day-to-day operation, and maintenance of the DAM system.
  • Coordinate and oversee the migration of legacy content.
  • Identify assets set to expire and take appropriate action.
  • Manage licensing and copyright requirements.
  • Audit assets for accurate naming and metadata.
  • Act as point of contact with the external vendor to maintain DAMS stability and accomplish necessary systems back-ups, customization, integration, hardware/software upgrades, troubleshooting, as well as long-term planning and program development
  • Manage user groups, assign individuals to groups, and perform user audits.
  • Create written metadata policies and maintain procedures using best practices and industry standards. Provide strong leadership to implement new metadata practices.
  • Create all documentation and training materials
  • Provide onboarding training and support key personnel in search and retrieval processes of the DAM system for their respective brands and/or accounts.
  • Act as the point of contact for all users for troubleshooting, digital asset management best-practices, and system improvements and support.
  • Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge on digital asset archiving in order to assist in researching and implementing new processes and systems.
  • Perform related duties or special assignments as directed.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full time salaried opportunity as a Social Media Manager-responsible for overseeing the promotion of the Zippo brand via building its reputation through authenticity and transparency, and creating global social connections.  The Social Media Manager is responsible for managing the day to day interactions on various platforms, and will ensure global, social marketing activities are aligned with corporate goals and identity.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Defines, proposes and leads strategies for primary social media channels including, usage guidelines, message mix, scheduling/volume, and the role of each channel in overall marketing strategies.
  • Responsible for overseeing content creation or curation including photography, video, editing, copy writing, and other forms of current and emerging multimedia technology.
  • Leads integration of social channels with Zippo websites and other Zippo marketing channels.
  • Collaborates with Sales, Marketing , Licensing, Legal, and Consumer Relations stakeholders on strategy development and program implementation, ensuring alignment with and support of overall Marketing efforts.

  • Creating artwork to be placed onto products and/or creating creative design solutions for various forms of collateral including catalogs, ads, packaging, signage, digital, and more.

This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing business processes and transactions to assure all financial matters: statements, reports, and transactions are properly stated and submitted in a timely manner to business management.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES CAN INCLUDE:

  • Corporate Consolidations – load and tie-out monthly subsidiary consolidation models including intercompany eliminations and multiple currency translations.
  • Financial reporting – monthly financial statement creation, independently create consolidated and individual subsidiary financial statements and supporting reports. Zippo Manufacturing Company is currently seeking a qualified Programmer Analyst for a full-time, salaried opportunity in their Information Technology department.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Programmer Analyst will provide 2nd tier support of software systems, analyze business requirements, and provide new solutions or enhancements to existing applications.  The candidate will be a member of the Applications Group providing project and end-user support.  The Programmer Analyst will report to the Information Systems Manager and will be responsible for the following:

  • Participating as an active team member in all assigned projects and support tickets.
  • Consulting with project managers, stakeholders, and vendors to define program intent, identify problems, and implement change requests.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely manner.
  • Providing analysis and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Independently design program specifications, write code, and test software.
